  • Help! i have a moulting chicken that refuses to come out from dining room table!

    hi all,

not sure what to do. i have a moulting chicken that is finding it hard to cope with these weather conditions. when i let them out this morning before i had chance to shut back door they have run in, the other one went back out after a quick scratch around in the kitchen but the moulting one has taken residence under my dining room table as there is a radiator near there. she is sitting there and is not coming out for anything not even grapes. i hope shes not ill.i think she is enjoying the warmth. what do i do?the other one is scratching around outside not bothered. i feel cruel lifting her and putting her out but then i know that they have to get used to all conditions. what would you all do??

Hot water bottle* in the coop?

    * 2 or 5 litre pop bottle, filled from a hot tap. I use them when camping

You can get those ex-bat jumpers - combined with the above?

        I am a bit of a softie.
I would just let her stay their. Maybe put down some paper or an old towel to collect any mess.
This weather should be over soon.
Plus on the other hand, I wouldn't like to be outside naked in this weather :O
