New Chicken Play Area

Today, Mr OWG and I spent some time using up an accumulation of old fence posts and wood that we had been given when a friend did some repairs to their fencing...

We have started to create a chicken 'play area' with some raised areas and perches. Pictures attached are of what we did today... we still have a couple more additions to add on to it, probably in another week or so.

P.S. Excuse the mud - that's what having ducks does to your land!
P.P.S. Excuse me being in the photo, in my skanky outdoors clothes (looking hugely fat, thanks to the massive hoody underneath my fleece!)

Sort of, yes! I don't grow a lot in there in winter, so they are free to use it (digging in the raised beds, and 'fertilising' them)... however, once plants are in the raised beds, they are shut out of the tunnel, plus the weather is usually nice enough that they don't care about going in!

they do have a few things to stand on but nothing to that extent!
