  • Converting a shed into a chicken coop - photos please!

    Hi

We are hoping to get some chickens soon and are thinking about converting a small shed into a coop, which I know some of you have done, but I don't know how it should be designed inside. Can anyone help with photos of your converted sheds to give me some guidance and ideas please?

    Many thanks

i dont have any photos with me atm but i have 2 converted sheds, both 6x4.

one has a sort of l shaped perch in it and the other has some old shelves that were already there, they are a bad idea tho.

you jsut need a perch about a foot off the floor and ideally with some sort of poop board underneath for easier cleaning.

and a nesting box for laying eggs. its very simple.

i will see if i can find any photos in a bit.

You could box in the window, seal cracks with sealant, make an air vent, cardboard box for eggs, make roost pole, cut hole in door and make a flap. Simple!
