  • Propergator as incubator

Hi, this may sound daft but thought I would ask anyway. Has anyone used a heated Propergator as a incubator or does anybody know/think it would be possible?. Thanks

Does your propagator have a temperature control? (mine doesn't)

I thought I'd posted earlier on this thread but it appears I haven't?

I have an inccy and a propagator. The incubation temperature needs to be set fairly exactly by means of a thermostat on the inccy.

If by some means you could control the temp i.e. by adding sand or sawdust to take the eggs further or neareer to the heating element, it may be possible. You would need a maximum/minimum thermometer and a lot of patiernce!

I usually add a tub of water for the last three days to up the moisture content.

I don't know about anyone else's, but the propogator I use wouldn't be warm enough for an incubator!
