Yes still fancy your bronze turkey eggs. My turkey hen laid her first egg of the season yesterday, and in the nest I made for her too. I was told she would make a scrape in the ground just anywhere so I'm pleased she's pleased with my nest!!!

I'm going to set some more Exchequers tonight so if I have spares later on in the year I'll let you know. I can always pop over to yours when I'm at my brothers.

I only ever had a couple of turkey hens hatch their chicks, and all I can say is, if baby turkeys are with Mum, KEEP AWAY! Never had anything so viscious, even the Banty cockerel we call the B*&^*$d was friendly in comparison! First only had one (and lost it within an hour), second had 8, and reared 6.
Made it easy to get her back in the pen (she had hatched them well away from home), OH distracted her (fended her off with a dustbin lid) while I get the chicks in a big dry bucket, then RUN throw them in the pen and get OUT of there!
Never again! Those were both white hens, but the second one had been with a bronze stag, pretty chicks (for turkeys).
Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.
