  • urmmm, how long dose the seed stay inside a bird?

Sorry, I know this is not a chicken and I can't think of any other way to put it.

I have a couple of khaki camble ducks, and one has gone broody.
Around 2 months ago I baby sat my grand mothers ducks.
She had 3 drakes in with the group.
I went up the plot one day and found a drake on the back of one of my ducks.
    Didn't think anything of it.

My grandmother managed to re home her ducks around three weeks ago.

    My blunt question is......

How long will this seed be viable for?

Could I expect some random breed ducklings?

Thanks for your time, and best wishes *he say's all embarrassed *

According to Wiki It varies among species of ducks. Some female species can store sperm for a week or less, while others can store sperm for 100 days or more. For those ducks storing for a week or less, pairs often continue to mate throughout follicle development. This ensures the female has sperm available to fertilize the eggs as they leave the ovaries and have viable eggs.
