Not sure if it's OK to do this on here or not, but I'd like to pass on a link for anyone living in France to a product which has been recommended by Sosad, an organisation which runs a rescue animal service in Brittany. The manufacturer is Saniterpen, www.santierpen.fr. It produces a insecticide powder based on pyrethrum, which can be used for a range of animals and poultry, and is cheaper than the stuff we buy at the vet's over here. They also do a disinfectant based on an artificial pyrethrum to protect against parasites, and other items. You can buy it online - cheapest place I've found so far is:
