  • Egg colours

    Can any one give me a list of hens and their egg colours please!
    oh, and the model and colour of the hen as well....sorry, it's a tall order!

    Blimey! I don't know them all but this is what I've got -
    Blue gold Brahma - beige tinted eggs (biggest bird I've got lays the smallest eggs but she's lovely)
    Speckledy (hybrid) - dark brown
    Sussex comet (hybrid) - white
    Bluebelle (hybrid) - beige

    I know Aracaunas lay bue / green eggs as do Cotswold Legbars.

          Well here goes this is what I have:

          Leghorns (all different colours, mine are exchequer) = White Eggs
          Vorwerks (Ginger bodies with black wings and heads) = Cream Eggs
          Cream Legbars (hens browny and grey google image, hard to describe) = Blue eggs
          Marans (all different colour varieties, mine are copper blacks) = Dark brown eggs

            brahma lay light brown eggs
            white star lay white eggs
            rhode island red lay brown eggs

            Thats all I know but with everyone else's knowledge, you should have every breed!

                  Black rock, lay light brown eggs they are black /redy brown chest
                  light sussex lay whitish eggs, and they are white with black speckles on neck area.my marans are laying very dark brown eggs, they are black with grey/white flecks all over.
