Dont rule out a 2 legged predator. Several months ago someone stole one of my Bluebelles, the coop was still closed in the morning when I let them out but the run gate was opened as was my back fence.
I started to actually question myself as to how many chooks I had because I couldnt get my head round taking one chook but then leaving the others locked in.
Anyway long story short my poor chook was found trussed up by the feet several streets away. She is fine now but the police and Rspb were involved.
And we still dont know which swine(s) was responsible.
Needless to say the back gate and the chook run are now padlocked if I am not here

Hard to imagine people can do things like that Carol.
