Unwell chicken?

Hi, tonight when I have gone to lock my 3 chickens up for the night, 1 of them wasn't in the coop which is strange as they have never done it before. I found her in a corner of the run just lying there. I picked her up and she just sat in my hand, she also don't usually do that, she would usually run away or flap around. I have now put her in with the others but when I did they squarked at her. They have always been fine with each other and I'm a bit worried about her now because this isn't like her. Does anyone know what could be wrong with her. Thanks all

Doesn't sound good does it? How old is she?
I've had 2 of my gals ( out of about 18) over the past 4 yrs just drop dead for no obvious reason...hope your gal is feeling better in the morning.
She's not egg bound is she??

Until you find out what's wrong with her, maybe you could isolate her from the others in case it's anything catching, and since they don't seem happy to have her around? Could you put her in a cardboard box or something, somewhere quiet? I use boxes for all sorts of things - I make them into kind of mini-coops or nest boxes by closing the lid and cutting a hole in one side so the bird can get in and out if it wants to... only works if it's under cover though, obviously!

Hi, yes I think this is the 1 that's been laying the smelly egg. She doesn't seem to bad this morning still a little timid but is eating and drinking well and is having a good scratch around. I will have to keep a close eye on her for now and let you know if anything changes. Thanks a lot all again. Much appreciated
