So, it's been a while since I've posted. One reason being my new hens and the dreaded pecking order ! But I think I've cracked it!!!
One of my new girls really took a battering from one of the original girls and I had to separate her while she healed. No joy with trying to return her at first and despite several attempts she remained terrified and still he victim. So , on the advice of guy in thorns poultry I removed the aggressor as she was instigator of all the attacking. After about a week they are now all in together after reintroducing original hen and all is well. I've just watched the new 'victim' pinch some food from the hen who was originally attacking her! So I think we're sorted
Been a while but worth it , very happy ))
