It helped (for me, anyway, once I had made secure the weak spot in my garden) to get some new ones in quite soon (obviously after cleaning up etc).
I'd be putting on thicker bolts, and perhaps some clasps too - but as petal says, don't give up!
Once you've reinforced, you can have some fun choosing what new ones to get in.
