weathervane on coop

hi all,
has anyone got/thought about putting a small hen/cockerel weathervane on their coop?
would love to see pics if anyone has, saw some advertised and thought it was a really novel idea

We have one on top of our "garage" - a cockerel one. We inherited it from the previous owners. It's a bit old and stiff though (like me) and only works intermittently!

How tall is your coop? You'd need to keep the weather vane in scale or it would look a bit silly IMO. I had a cockerel weather vane on a garden shed. It was OK on a large, tall building where it caught the wind.

the weathervanes i have seen are 'mini' so a much smaller scaled down version of the traditional size otherwise i agree would look really silly!

..and if you put it in a wind tunnel bwteeen two houses like I have mine, it always points S-SW anyway! )
