Keeping humidity up?

Hi all, I am on the final 3 days of incubating and I'm struggling to keep humidity up. I can get it up to 90% for about half hour bet then it will drop down to about 60%. I have got both water trays full to the top and I have also got wet sponge in with the eggs and I have been misting the lid. Does anyone know how I can keep it up?. Thanks all

I'm not sure what incubator you are using but 90% sounds very high. I average around 70% for the last 3 days and usually get a very good hatch. You are doing everything you can. Try not to open the lid!! Good luck and let's us know how you get on

Don't be fooled by the instructions that come with your incubator. They were quite often put together sometime ago and since being written, the humidity in the UK has changed significantly and is much higher than it used to be. Best of luck with your late in the year hatch.
