Call Ducks ?

Morning all,

My wife, very kindly bought me a pair of Call Ducks for my birthday. Lovely little things, if not a gadget noisy, but a welcome addition to the chickens. However, we have a nice pond and the ducks steadfastly refuse to go on the water. They appear to have no interest at all. Why do you think this would be.? Not a life threatening problem but I am curious nonetheless.

Maybe they've never had access to water before?
Have you tried gently placing them on it?
