        Well, Christmas Day passed without too much incident, apart from managing to spook one of the young turkeys with my red pyjamas when it promptly took off and got tangled up in the poultry netting. After several minutes of wrangling while trying to avoid poopy feet soiling said pyjamas I finally extricated him and sent him off to join his siblings. I took great pleasure in telling them all later on that their brother had tasted delicious!

              No they just stared gormlessly at me like they usually do.

              I'm away tomorrow, have someone coming in to do all the birds for me. I hope they (the birds) behave themselves. Hate putting someone else in charge.
