Right I've got my layer pellets, grit and greens. There seems an endless supply of tonics and vitamin supplements available but what do I really need, what are the 'must haves' to keep my girls tip top?

A proper wormer (Flubenvet) - whilst things like VermX are very popular, they are preventatives only and will not get rid of worms!
Diatomaceaous (sp?) earth/powder - regular dusting with this will keep mites at bayComment

Forget all your expensive lotions and potions all you need is some garlic in their water all the time, it will do more good than any of them and save you a fortune ( and no the eggs wont taste of it either).

We're using Apple cider vinegar in their water (dosing the horses with it as well) next time planning to try the ACV with garlic.Ali
