  • Rabbit food

I went to get the rabbit food out the shed to feed the bunnies today and my warren came rushing over after the bag. I've never seen a chicken move so fast. Is rabbit food ok for chickens?

They will probably give it a peck or two and then not eat it. I wouldn't have thought it will harm them.

My bunnies are in the chook area and the chooks are quite happy to pick up any which we -or the bunnies- spill.
It's veggie so I'm sure it's OK in small amounts.
Chook food for bunnies might not be so good though even in small amounts if it's got protein in it.

Our Old English Sheepdog used to be partial to dry rabbit food. But then, she'd eat anything, including a light bulb and a box of tampons
