Chooks had the fat & rind off the ham yesterday. Went down very well indeed!

(We've decided to eat our last remaining cockerel of 7lb 4oz- dressed weight- instead of the goose.)

Tastier meat - keep your goose, it may be golden

Happy christmas all, meal worm corn mix for my girlies tomorrow with a bit of rice mixed in. Some dry days would be lovely , swampy is a good description of things at the moment.
Hoping I can persuade my broody hen to not be broody over the next few days, as i'll be around to boot her out of the nest.

Merry Christmas to you all from Oz! Half over here!

I had Christmas bbq at the Fireshed with some of the locals last evening.

A fabulous sleep in this morning.

Dogs have had bones, chooks just love their chook food so no extra's there. Altho I was a little late letting them out and poor Shirley was laying an egg at the time......once she saw Frank and the Tic Tacs eating she shot it out and ran out to join them!

Cats have been swapped, inside gone out, and vice versa. The new recruit chewed his bone lying on the xmas tree skirt under the tree. Very cute!

Off for drinks with friends this evening.
