  • Flubenvet 1% and 2.5% wormer

    Hi all
apart from the obvious answer, 1.5%, what is the difference between the Flubenvet wormer 1% and 2.5%. Why/when would you use one over the other. Is this the best one to use?
I hope you all have/had a fantastic Crimbo and a wonderful New Year

Cost effective to buy the bigger tub with a stronger %, that's all the dosage is different so in the grand scheme of things they equate to the same dose, just not measure for measure. You need to read the instructions on both and then I think it becomes clearer, unlike my answer, but I hope you understand what I mean.

You get the same thing with sheep wormer. It is really irritating. It tends to be lower % in smaller bottles for the smaller producer but then sometimes one worm won't actually be tackled by the lower % because you need the actual concentration to be specific.

My bug bear is the vaccine that comes in a minimum of 20 shot bottles and had to be used within 8 hours of opening if you follow the manufacturers instructions. Why can't they sell individual throw away syringes or just collapsing containers since it's the air getting in that's the problem? (Now I've said that (I know how helpful peopel here are) please don't all rush to tell me ways around the problem - there are already farming forums covering the wrinkles.

PS. I just don't have enough time to say hello to everyone as they join so please take this as a delighted to see you here!
