New girls arrive this week, what have I forgotten?

I had chooks growing up and have wanted them again for quite some time and I'll be collecting 6 this week.

I've converted a 6' x 4' shiplap shed into their Chicken Condo, built three internal nest boxes, 2 bars for roosting (along the 4' width) drilled holes at the top for ventilation, covered the floor with wood shavings, cut a door with sliding hatch and ladder leading out into their 2.4m x 4.8m run part covered with an onduline roof. I've got a bag of layers pellets, a drinker and a feeder. I'm picking up a square bale of straw this week for their nest boxes and borrowing a carrier from a chicken loving pal for transport. They will have a large area for free ranging when they're settled and over the winter they'll have two 28' polytunnels to scratch around in. I'm nervous, what have I overlooked? I want to make sure they're happy and comfortable. Any tips or pointers for me?

Fabulous sounds like youve got it pretty much covered. I wouldn't be without ACV for their water and have you creosoted the shed? It really does stop red mite.

Scarlet what's an ACV? Shed has had 2 coats of paint inside and out.

Apple cider vinegar

Apple cider vinegar (the horsey version) you can get it from agricultural stores. Its a good tonic and is a natural preventative for worms etc in the gut. (Although you will still need to worm with Flubenvet) Add it to their drinking water for one week every month.
