first 'new' egg for a long time...

We had a bit of a nice surprise yesterday!

One of our chicks which hatched on Easter Sunday has laid her first egg

Only 17.5 weeks old too!

...funny , having had one, I'm half expecting one from the other 3 siblings!

Putting the clock on them really does work then

Only ever had one incident of all pullets from same hatch starting lay on the same day. Mostly they come into lay one after the other.

Still waiting for the 3rd one though!

I suppose- different mixed parentage/breeds will make a difference?
