I doubt she's started laying yet though but we're really thrilled cos she really really looked like she was well on her way out.

Makes you sort of confident to try again with the next poorly one doesn't it?

I was looking at my 2 Marans the other day remembering when they hatched one had an 'umbilical' hernia and the other has splayed feet and needed splinting....and they both grew into healthy laying gals!

You win some and you lose some- but in this game it seems we lose more than we win eh?

Still I'm very very happy for Bok Bok cos she's my 2nd favourite hen

My problem is that I've not got the hang of posting piccies cos I seem to delete them at the same time.

Well- we have an ipad now so I'll see if we ( I mean OH ) can have a fiddle and post something.

They're all hiding from the torrential rain at the moment- but will see what we can do later on Shirl
