I wasn't expecting many throughout the winter months, but between my 3 warrens and 1 light sussex I'm averaging 3 eggs a day. On the flip side my Polish hasn't layed for months and the 3 gals that hatched last summer haven't come into lay yet.....although that doesn't stop their sibling cockerel practising his technique on them at every given opportunity!

Hi
I seem to have plenty of eggs from my 3 girls, 1 egg a day from each most days. I had thought they would have stopped laying as it is supposedly winter!!! I am really lucky as I seem to have really good layers. It could be that they are still young and that this winter has been particularly mild for my part of Scotland.

Some of mine haven't started again after their winter hols yet, the others are laying slightly less than I'd expect later in the year but at least they're laying! Although my maran crosses are doing what Nicos' are doing, a bit on-off depending on the weather and whether they feel like it or not!sigpicGardening in France rocks!
