Hi folks
Not had any chickens for a few months now, but once you get the bug..... So, new coop, new run and (in a couple of weeks), new chickens. I thought I’d share a few photos with you. The run is 2m x 5m in addition to the coop, and the girls will free range in the rest of the garden most days, (or what’s left of it, after the last lot of chooks). I’ve just finished fox proofing the rest of the garden too, much to the annoyance of the cat who now has to find another way out. The chicken run fence extends a good couple of feet below ground on all sides and has a wet weather shelter at the end. The green shallow tub in the shelter will be for a dust bath/sand pit. I've just finished installing the pop hole opener in it too. Anyone think of anything glaringly obvious I’ve missed (apart from food and water).

A fox will easily scale a six foot wire fence or more likely get onto the roof of the coop and jump into the run.
