Awww, that's really sad about your cockerel . Can't they splint a bird's leg or anything? But then I don't suppose he could lie down if his whole leg was all stiff could he . What a waste. At the moment I can't imagine ever liking my cockerel again, but I'm sure that'll change eventually. He comes at me from behind, and I don't trust him an inch! And to think he was always the little outsider, the loner, and my pal for several weeks.. Having said that, he's still quite happy to come and eat food from my hand if it suits him. B*&^^rd. The girls are all turning scatty too because they get scared when the cockerel comes for me and I fight back, loudly sometimes. Half of them are hiding under bushes from me this morning! Grrrrr.

Of course I'd regret it NG, but I'd also regret it if I caused all that stress and possible further damage and the vet said 'leave it be, it'll heal itself'... I'm going on Thursday but will be back again on Sunday, so it's only a few days. I'll monitor her for the next couple of days and if she seems to be getting worse I'll take her on Wednesday somehow. But I don't want to end up having to 'do' anything to her while we're away either - I couldn't leave the pet sitter to deal with that one, he doesn't even know about the aggressive cockerels yet, or the fact that he can't eat the chicken eggs because they're being wormed again, or the fact that one of the cats is poorly and I'm having to treat her gut gently and COOK some fish for her in place of tinned food once a day, and could he please make sure he lights the fire every evening and lets the cats sleep on the coffee table in front of it because the poorly one has a temperature, and... he's already in for a fun time I think .

Not this time no, it's something from the french vet and there's a 4 week withdrawal. Plus I'm going to have to re-treat the day before we go away. Sad isn't it?
