  • Nobbles on eggs ?

Hi, I am getting a few eggs lately with "nobbles" on them, usually on the ends. I presume this is normal and these are ones that the supermarket egg police would not allow to be sold as slightly imperfect.

Am i right in thinking these nobbles are nothing more than over production of shell?

Yes, very normal, especially if the hens are I their 3rd plus laying season.

Slight excess of Calcium, nothing to worry about.
Feed the soil, not the plants.

Yup...just ignore them... but having said that, do check that the seal of the egg isn't compromised
