I heard somewhere that the Dutch had banned keeping poultry outside - does anyonw know if that's the case - or what the sitch is here? I've got a small flock and don't want to panic anyone or get caught out. Cheers!
There is no problem with keeping your chickens outside at the moment, the dutch have a HUGE poultry industry and thousands of outdoor birds, I believe they did at one stage ban freerange but I think it has been rescinded now. However the situation would change if an epidemic started here.

At the moment defra are simply asking people to keep their food and water inside to stop wild birds contaminating anything and ask you to have a plan in mind IF you were asked to keep all your chickens undercover, so apart from food and water you should be fine.
