Yes Nicos, ours are the khaki campbells. I'm seriously just wondering if they simply haven't finished moulting into their adult plumage fully... I can't remember exactly how long it took the others. Anyway, eggs will tell

Nearly all animals and birds practice these tendencies, I have witnessed it in cattle, sheep, welsh farmers and chickens. When we had whole pens of young cockerels it was nothing short of an orgy. Usually they would gang up on one unfortunate cockerel and literally rape him to death.
