I've not been successful using 'alternative' methods to date.

Often people say they are worming with Apple cider vinegar or natural de wormers! The net is full of it. They help the gut, have health benefits for the chicken but certainly don't get rid of worms. Flubenvet is sold in feed now which is a very easy way to worm them successfully.
