Hi. My broody has been the most wonderful mother to her 4 chicks. The chicks are all settled in the main hen house now, and are fending for themselves really well. BUT she has turned into a real mean hen the last 2 days. She chases the chicks round the garden, and they now seem terrified of her. Has anyone else come across this? I understand that she wants to distance herself from the chicks, and they seem to get that too, but she is so horrible to them...any advice please.
