Roosting? A must or not?

My two turkeys (7 weeks old) are quite tame.. and one roosts on top of the feeder in their shed. The other sleeps on the floor.
Given half a chance, one climbed up my arm and onto my head yesterday pm.. odviously I am an ideal roosting spot!:-) It objected when I lifted it off... (probably cos I had to reach over my head and grab it by the wings...)

Just wait - might be a tiddler at seven weeks - but if it tries to climb you come Christmas..... you'll need a neck brace!

A query within a query...........Do chooks need to have a ladder to a roosting perch or are they expected to fly or hop onto it?
