I had some hyacinths that I got over the summer from aa shop. I put them in a dark garage in September so they'd take the hint and go to sleep for next year. Instead, they have re-sprouted, but there is a hole in the midle where I'd expect the flower to sprout. has anyone else had this?

If they’ve resprouted they sound ok. The leaves come first, the flower appears a little later,do you have a photo? How tall is the green,if they’re little cover them up again,if they’re a couple of inches you could bring them in the house out of direct sunlight but in the light, mine go on the kitchen floor. I haven’t had a chance to grow any indoors this year, the scent will be lovely off them.Location : Essex

The flowers should eventually shoot out from the centre of the bulb at the bottom between the leaves, the flowers will be smaller in their second year. If they’ve been forced before I usually plant them in the border & hope for flowers,it’s a lot of work for the bulb when it’s been forced.Location : Essex
