Is this a weed

Creeps and sprawls and strangles other nice things.
Horrible smell to the leaves when crushed - but a pretty little blue flower.
Hoping it’s a weed because I want to feel justified in yanking it all out!!

Weeds are plants in the wrong place. Sounds like this plant fits my definition of a weed. Get it pulled out.

Fairly sure it's ground ivy, a fairly common wildflower. https://www.wildlifetrusts.org/wildl...ers/ground-ivy It won't actually strangle anything, but if it's where you don't want it, then you're perfectly justified getting rid! I'd leave a patch where it doesn't matter, if you can, because, you know, biodiversity. But that's just me.

Yes, Ground Ivy. I have lots of it - quite like it as ground cover.
Its also called Ale Hoof and can be used to make beer - not that I have!!
