  • Another weed id

    I've a couple of things in my garden at the moment that are possibly weeds but are pretty. I will often just let them get on with it but I haven't seen this one here before. Click image for larger version

    It looks like honesty to me.

            I have another one - I'll be back with a photo - it spreads everywhere here.
            Has a geranium type leaf with a tiny cerise pink flower on tall stems. Self sows in my path, between all my plants. It is pretty but it's slowly taking over.

              I know the plant you mean - but not what it is! I spotted one last week - but pulled it out as it wasn't very interesting!

                that is over the whole allotment in variouse places,i was tolled a while ago,it is a wild geranium,i just left it on my old plot,did not seem to spread like weeds usualy do,
                sigpicAnother nutter ,wife,mother, nan and nanan,love my growing places,seed collection and sharing,also one of these

                  I have herb robert I was going to shove in the meadow patch. It is similar to wild geranium and both are apparently called (unhelpfully) cranesbill. I also seem to have gained jack by the hedge this year that is destined for the meadow patch as well.

                          ^^^It was only recently that I knew what it looked like in flower. For years I just knew it at seed disk stage.
