Strange white powder on houseplant.

Well for the life of me I can’t understand why this houseplant bought from Ikea decides to display strange powdery stuff on its leaves. I dont know the plant variety but it seems to be growing healthy enough. I brush the powder off but it seems to be spreading. Any idea what it is ?

mildew probably - if it ever stops raining, that will make things easier.

Wipe it off with a damp cloth.

Well that's the end - I refuse absolutely to come round and wipe up the dust in your house VC - I've got plenty of my own, and I never wipe that up. :-)
