  • Rosa Rugosa Dame Blanche

    Hi all,
On a trip to France a few months ago, I picked up a rosa rugosa "Dame Blanche" from a garden centre there. It's a variety with double white flowers, but if I google it more or less all the sites that come up are in French.

What I'm struggling to find out is whether this is a variety not sold outside of France, or if it's sold elsewhere under another name. For example, is it the same as "Blanc Double de Coubert", which is a fairly commonly sold variety in the UK?

If anyone knows, please let me know!

    Chris.

sometimes sellers make up names in order to make it easier to sell plants - and in the past different names have been applied in different countries to the same variety - this used to happen a lot to fruit too.

This site which has an English option lists it under the garden's plants.
They do have a contact form in English.
It'll be interesting to know if this is a variety or synonym.
