in my opinion this is the most beautiful native flower we have - a symbol of hope after a hard winter.
But even more a symbol of hope in these horrid, horrid times.
Will be taking these to my Mum’s resting place later on today. It was always her favourite flower too (which is probably where I got it from!)
Stay safe everyone.

I did have a lovely vase of flowering bay with tulips but I done something stupid with my pics. Here is this weeks vase of geum (flaming passion), red and white valerian, ceonothus, spanish blue bells, aquilegia and narcissi
the narcissi is a lovely fragrant multi headed one that I have no idea what it is called. As it matures the centre fades to white. Any idea of the name anyone?

I don’t know why my thumbnails aren’t coming out properly either.
One lovely thing about this little posy....
My lovely daughter surprised me this afternoon by turning up with emergency supplies of eggs, milk and flour. She was delighted to take the flowers home, together with half a loaf of apricot bread and half a loaf of mushroom, garlic and rosemary bread.
I was pleased to part with half of today’s bread baking!
