  • Overwintering Carnations?

I sowed Perpetual Carnations in the Spring. I have planted some outdoors but I also have about twenty plants pricked out into a large deep fish box in the greenhouse!
Both the indoor and outdoor plants look healthy, but the indoor plants are bigger, with more foliage.
I was thinking of transplanting the indoor plants singly into florist buckets staking them and growing them for early cut flowers?
Is this a good idea or not, and when can I expect them to flower?

I would SNadger, you've nowt to loose (only the carnations ) as to how long, tricky that one. I'll dig my carnation book out and let you know but I would guess just after Christmas about the 29th
