  • Just Planted Spring Bulbs!!!

I bought these half price Wilko bulbs last Dec (1st week) so you can imagine they were late then already. I planted them tightly & close together in a window box, hopefully they should come through as already they've shooted a bit. I'm sure I'll still get flowers from my spring bulbs or would I not? Hope nobody's out there as bad as me.

Tidied up the hall on Saturday - and found the pack of crocus bulbs I'd forgotten about! They are now in a pot by the back door - I'll get a bit of spring cheer from them anyway!

My (indoor) narcissus are in full bloom - I reckon they'll be over by t'weekend; then I'll bung them in a hole on the lottie. I'm sure they'll be fine.

If you use bought compost (in bag), at least they're nice and dry and you can even pot up indoors if this helps, with what the constant rain.

I once planted daffodil bulbs as late as April ( but don't tell anyone!!!)..usual story of buying early, leaving in the shed, and forgetting about them...

They flowered ,but only lasted a few days as the heat was too strong.

I'm in the same boat too.

I'm planning on chucking them in the ground tomorrow and seeing what happens. They should have been planted in december. I couldn't help it tho. They had 75% off. :P

I was given three packets of spring bulbs by a garden centre as a gift last week and told to get them in the ground straight away. I had some over and stuck then in a pot in the greenhouse. I looked today, and they're just starting to push through. That's what I call quick.
