I was given a Peperonnia about 4 years ago and dispite some very bad treatment it is still very much alive

The problem is that it has grown a bit tall with no the leaves on the bottom of the stem. Can anyone tell me the best way of dealing with it please?

If I cut it off will it sideshoot or can I root the tops that are cut off ?

I do feel that having survived cold, drought and neglect it should be given another chance.

If I had spelt it right (Peperomia) someone might have known what I should do with it!

Well I took a bit off and it rooted well in water so potted it up. The main plant I then cut back severely and it is producing new shoots from the old stems.
