I wonder. i am having terrible trouble with my lisianthis seeds. They are so tiny and every time i try to keep the soil moist, I drown them - I have tried a spray bottle thing but that just keeps blowing them away. Any suggestions?

Could you mist them from up on high? Hold a mister quite high up and let the mist fall on the seeds?A simple dude trying to grow veg. http://haywayne.blogspot.com/

Could you not moisten the compost before putting the seeds and push the seeds in using teaspoon or chopstick. Or tiny, slow drops of water from the tap or is this too disruptive for the seeds. Mind you I haven't sown my flower seeds either, been dreading it those with tiny seeds.Food for Free

I ALWAYS (well nearly) water from the bottom, ie put the tray/pot into a container of water. The roots are near the bottom of the pot not the top, after all.
