Bought some sweet peas from GC yesterday but dont really know what I should be doing with them at the moment ! Are they one of the plants that dont like their roots being distrurbed?? should I be putting them into individual longish pots? I havent got a cold frame or greenhouse if this helps

It's a bit early to plant out sweetpeas. They are probably a spring sowing from the GC.
Usually they don't go out until the end of May. Hanging on to these for two months is a long time and you will check their growth.
As you don't have a greenhouse or coldframe, I would plant out with some protection.

When you plant out fill the hole with compost and some newspaper, this helps to retain the moisture and gets their roots off to a flying start.

If you have nothing to cover them up with, recycled bottles work well, cut the bottoms off and leave the lids on and you have your own mini propagator.
Keep an eye on them and as we approach May start to harden them off by removing the protection during the day but cover at night in case of frost.
