Organic treatment for blackspot

Does anyone know what I can do to cure blackspot on roses without spraying them with nasty things?
I had some last year and hoped it would disappear over winter, but no such luck. I try to be as organic as possible so would appreciate any suggestions.

Hello Blackkitty,
Make a spray up of 1 part Bicarbonate of Soda to 50 parts water. You will get some leaf drop and you will have to spray more than once but over the summer it will reduce the effect.

pick up any leave that fall off as well as the spores will overwinter in the soil. Strangely enough, the best display of clean roses I ever saw grew in the central reservation of a dual cariage way, I guess the car fumes killed all the nasties !!!

I use washing up liquid diluted in water and it seems to do the trick.
