    Nasturtiums? Calendula?
My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order
to present to him vegetables and all beautiful flowers.- Offerings of Thutmose III to Amon-Ra (1500 BCE)

Both good options. Also borage (great for bees, flowers look nice frozen in ice cubes), Anchusa 'Dropmore' (use like borage) and/or Viola 'Heartsease' which can be used as a cut-and-come-again salad leaf.

I believe the flowers of day lilies are edible (fried like tempura) but I'd need to check this before I reccommend you eat them!
      Resistance is fertile

        Borage is a cool bet.
        Mustards
        Pansies
        violas
        violets
        marjoram and mints
        Dead nettles
marrigolds (i think but not sure)

Nasturtiums is the usual one. You can eat the flowers, seeds and leaves. And dead easy. Pretty too.

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.
