  • Marigolds Question

    Hello Flower People.

I have germinated a tray of marigolds (half french and half african) They only have their seed leaves at the moment and are literally half a cm to a cm tall.

My question is; Will it be ok to leave them in the greenhouse overnight? I have a paraffin heater which I light when frost is forecast.

    Tia
Excuse me, could we have an eel? You've got eels down your leg.

Hello MrDinkle, your marigolds will probably be OK unless it is really cold. I lost a tray one year. Are you using fleece. I highly recommend it for covering your plants overnight. The light weight stuff will protect againt 2 or 3 gegrees of frost and the heavy stuff gives 7 degrees of protection. In cold spells it can be left on for days at a time. Well worth the 2 or 3 pounds it costs. And you can use it outside in the same way.

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.
