  • Buddleia

    Hi

I snapped a twig of my buddleia the other day by accident and was wondering if I could get it to root and how I do this?

    Thank you

Give it a go now Pukka.tukka. I poked some black and red currant sticks in in the spring and most of them took. Got some really nice bushes now.

Two Sheds, I have had some luck with Black Knight started in water first.

With other buddlieas, I just push the cuttings in the ground near the original plant - some of them always take.

I've propogated "Black Kight" too.....so much so,that i had to stop popping the cuttings in the ground,as i definitely couldn't squeeze any more in and ended up giving them away.

I find they seed like the blazes. You don't get the original but you always get a corker.
