Does anyone have any advice on how to grow amaryllis from a seed pod

I grew some once, years ago, but never got any to flowering size. I think I forgot about them one winter, and they got frozen. If I remember, there are loads of paper thin round seeds in the pod. I probably just sowed them in multipurpose compost and covered thinly. Getting them to germinate wasn't a problem, but space was an issue growing them on.I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!
Now a little Shrinking Violet.
