Don't do metric but for a 12" basket I normally put in- 1 upright Fuchsia or Geranium in the middle
- 3 trailing Fuchsia's or Geraniums
- 3 trailing petunia's
- Then any gaps - Lobelia plug (at least 6)
I don't normally plant in the sides of the basket as they wouldn't get any light
If it's a bigger basket I plant in 5's and smaller ones I just grow 3 Fuchsia's or Geraniums these are always 1 variety and normally make the stock plant for the following year
