I am new to my allotment and need some advice. I planted some cauliflower plants which I bought last August, but these do not appear to be getting any hearts in them. Is it too early yet?

Do you know which type they are, the cauli can be a fickle little beast and will sometime appear when you have given up all hope, ( just tell them they have been there long enough and if they dont hurry up it the compost heap for you) -
Dont know what type they are. I will give them another week or two untill I need the space then to the compost bin thanks
